Buddy ID Pouch Pattern - PDF Pattern
The Buddy ID Pouch is a small pouch that is designed to be used by the busy person that needs access to stuff quick. Sometimes that's a transit pass, student ID or a nametag for a conference, while still carrying around some of your essentials such as your mobile device, payment cards, perhaps a hotel room key or cash.
The pattern was designed for quilting cotton, and can be made on a domestic sewing machine! I do not recommend heavier materials due to bulk, but feel free to experiment - and don't forget some clear vinyl for the front and back pockets, I do recommend 10 oz. The pattern even includes a worksheet so that you can increase the size to fit your device! It also has a cutting list for all pieces as well as pattern pieces, so you can cut your project out the way you want to.
There is a small front vinyl pocket for your nametag or ID, a back vinyl pocket for your cell phone or business cards, and then a large zipper space to hold the valuables that you don't want slipping out. All of this can hang on a lanyard designed to be comfortable and slip over your head.
Details:
Finished size is 6" tall, 4-1/4" wide and 1/2" deep which will comfortably hold a device that's 5" tall and 3" wide. However, there is a worksheet included to help you change the size to suit your needs!
Pattern testers consider this pattern ideal for beginner bag makers.
